Ingredients
- 4 ripe tomatoes (Roma, vine-ripened, or heirloom)
- 8 oz (225 g) fresh mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1β2 tablespoons balsamic glaze (optional but popular)
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare ingredients
Slice tomatoes and mozzarella into evenly thick rounds. - Assemble the salad
On a serving platter, alternate slices of tomato and mozzarella. Tuck fresh basil leaves between slices. - Season
