
๐ฎ Beef Tacos (Serves 4)
Ingredients
For the Beef Filling
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
- ยฝ cup water or beef broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For Serving
- 8โ10 small tortillas (corn or flour)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese
- ยฝ cup diced tomatoes or pico de gallo
- ยฝ cup sour cream
- Fresh cilantro, chopped
- Lime wedges
Instructions
- Cook the beef
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook 2โ3 minutes until soft. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds. - Brown the meat
Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed. - Season
Stir in taco seasoning and water or broth. Simmer 5โ7 minutes until thick and flavorful. Season with salt and pepper. - Warm tortillas
Heat tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until warm and pliable. - Assemble tacos
Spoon beef into tortillas. Top with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime.
